Chemo Gnosis (and why not to)

 

A term favored by Chaote (chaos magickians) for the altered state caused by drug use. Everyone at one point in their life has used a reality-altering drug, be it from LSD visions to Tums telling you your stomach are not being damaged.

From personal experience I can say Chemo gnosis is a powerful thing. Things done in your mind can cause physical damage or heal you. Inner parts of the self that should not surface do and are usually distorted. For example, last time I used a drug I got angry for no reason and tried killing some people. Good things have been known to come from chemo gnosis. I developed a method for time control while under the influence. Many artists work better while high.

At a physical level drugs are horrible for you. People will always say pot is better for you than a cigarette and cocaine better than heroine. The fact still remains that no drugs are better than any drug. At a spiritual level chemo gnosis has the same trait. Anyone who has sapped energy from a high person can vouch for its destructive nature on the soul. One something I have seen drugs useful for is philosophy. The altered state seems to bring up radical thoughts, and inventions.

Shaman and Mesoamericans have used chemo gnosis through the ages.

Even the Holy Grail has been said to be a cannabis smoking mechanism by some historians. Over the ages drug use has been inbred into our sociality, among other things. It seems everyone complains about things, and does not ever want to actually change them.

There are other, and defiantly more potent, ways to produce gnosis. Tantric images have techniques that make any drug look like a grain of sand in the desert. Even overloading yourself with energy can cause a high, and is way healthier. Meditating for the time it takes to get out the bong, smoke, and hide it again would be more efficient and has no legal issues or health issues.

Drug use also shows a level of immaturity and lack of self worth. Those who say they do not know of the risks are ignorant of them. Those who “cant” quit have a major lack of will. I have seen countless teens and even more adult quit by will alone. Everyone has a choice to make. Drugs don’t mask anything, and using them in the name of the occult is disgusting.
