Ghost, possibly a deceased pet rat.

While I was on the bed, facing the living room's far wall, looking at the rat cage.

The ghost was seen wandering on the outside of the big rat cage. It was nosing around and searching, like a rat normally does. I originally thought it was one of my pet rats escaping the rat cage, so when I immediately went to capture the "rat escapee", I was shocked to discover that both rats were indeed IN their cage, sleeping!! There was no way the rats in the cage could have escaped and climbed back into their home within the six seconds it took me to see the ghost and get up to capture the 'offender'. I would have seen it crawl right back into the cage!!

It was grey, like a soft whitish grey. Semi transparent, but looked solid enough that I thought it was the real thing.

WEATHER CONDITIONS: Winter (not sure about that)

TIME: Afternoon

DURATION OF EVENT: Several seconds (approx. 6 seconds).

NUMBER OF WITNESSES: 1

FURTHER INFORMATION: I had lost one of my pet rats a few months prior to this. It is possible it was the living rats room mate, or it was Armageddon, my freerange rat who died 2-3 years prior to this event.
